Dr. Franklin has published his work in the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis on the use of hypnosis to treat the symptoms of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease) in Veterans. He teaches clinical hypnosis to Veterans Administration clinical staff, nationwide. He is an Affiliated Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Since retiring from the VA Medical Center in December 2023, he now is a volunteer physician at the Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic on Johns Island, South Carolina.
Dr. Franklin believes that medical hypnosis can improve overall health and vitality, thereby restoring hope and the enjoyment of life to many who suffer from chronic illnesses. Convinced of the power of the mind/body connection, and informed by years of advanced training and practice, Dr. Franklin is pleased to bring his services to you, in his new practice at Southeastern Medical Hypnosis Consultants.
